Dual-stage attitude control systems of nanosatellites for high-quality Earth Observation

The objective of the PhD project is the development of a high precision pointing platform to improve the pointing stability of CubeSat payloads to 1 arcsec, more than an order of magnitude better than the current state of the art of 60 arcsec. A piezo-element actuated instrument pointing system will supplement the reaction wheel based control system of the spacecraft.
