The evolution of orchid and seagrass genomes

The Van de Peer lab will be involved in the future analysis of the genomes of several orchids and seagrasses. I will combine diverse technologies and approaches to first produce high-quality genome assemblies. Following gene prediction and genome annotation, I will be involved in the downstream analyses considering genome structure and evolution, with an emphasis on gene and genome duplication.
