In 2019, In Practice evolved from a simple series of architecture lectures and conversations to the creation of an inter-university platform for practicing architects. In May 2019, In Practice organizes an intense and educational reflection day in Brussels, aimed at practicing architects, researchers and the public.
The research and reflection platform aims to provide a platform for reflecting rigorously on current creative architectural practices and to share the results of these reflections with a wide audience of architects and other interested parties. The fundamental quest of In Practice is to find ways to illustrate the importance and value of a creative practice without wanting to "evacuate" these practices. The lectures and publications of In Practice therefore consciously position themselves at the intersection of research and practice. In this way, the initiative wants to make a unique contribution to pedagogy, research and the discipline on the one hand, but it also wants to be immediately inspiring and provocative for the wider society.
