Book Contribution - Book Chapter Conference Contribution
Online and blended learning is increasingly being offered in adult education to enhance the accessibility and flexibility of education. In this symposium, five PhD-researchers will highlight the main findings of the ALO project (Adult Learners Online – Online & blended learning in adult education and vocational training) a four-year project (2014-18) funded by the Flemish government. Aim of the ALO-project is to improve the quality of online and blended learning in Flemish adult education centers. The research covers four research objectives: (1) How can AE providers improve the quality of online and blended learning?; (2) How can the design of OBL courses and programs contribute to better performance?; (3) To what extent do contextual, input, and process variables affect the quality of learner output variables?; (4) Which teacher professional development model can be validated to enhance teacher competences for applying online and blended learning?
