Report of the first PME regional conference: South America

From November 14 to 16, 2018, the first PME Regional Conference was held in Rancagua, Chile. The conference was aimed at reaching and gathering South American researchers. This report provides details about the organisation of the conference, its participants, as well as the scientific programme. We end with an overview of the major issues that were addressed duringthe discussion sessions held with the conference participants
