Smartphone use and academic performance: causal impact, mediation via sleep quality and moderation by multitasking

In this project, the causal impact of smartphone use on academic performance is measured. In addition, it provides an insight into why and when in particular this impact occurs. On the one hand, the direct effect of smartphone use on academic performance is disentangled from an indirect effect via sleep outcomes. On the other hand, multitasking is investigated as a moderator of the relationship between smartphone use and academic performance.
