Experimental and numerical study of fire dynamics in passive houses

passive house is a relatively new type of low-energy house, which conforms the highest energy standard for buildings. The construction requirements of passive houses, in particular the very low leakage, may result in great fire risks. The objective of this research is to deepen the understanding of fire dynamics in passive houses, including the generation of high pressure levels and carbon monoxide due to the airtightness.
