IPEH - Intelligent products with energy harvesting. (IWTTETRA1)

The main objective of the IPEH project is to validate the new generation of energy harvesting techniques in the light of added intelligence to a product. This can be achieved through the integration of low-energy sensors such as, for example, light, temperature, or humidity sensors. These sensors and devices must communicate with different components in a network.

The main target audience is on the one hand the software and hardware integrators and on the other hand creative product developers. Both groups try to contribute to product innovation through the integration of sensors and LEDs so that there is no longer any need for cabling and replacing batteries.

We will develop specific test cases with a focus on the application of EH in the supply of sensors and LEDs. A methodology is being developed for this that gives companies insight into technical and economic feasibility. Pitfalls are defined and concrete solutions are formulated.
