Implementation of Nano-Flow Technology in the KU Leuven Metabolomics/Lipidomics Expertise Platform

The comprehensive analysis of metabolites and lipids provide insights into the numerous physiological processes and hold great promise in bridging the genotype-phenotype gap. The KU Leuven metabolomics/lipidomics expertise platform wishes to expand its current machine park with a state of the art nanoflow chromatograph. This set-up is unique and groundbreaking as it will lead to a 1000-10.000 fold increase in sensitivity and detection of small molecules, revolutionizing the field and putting the expertise platform in a cutting-edge position. The implementation of this technology will serve diverse academic and clinical KU Leuven research units across the different departments.
