Strategic Research Programme: Smart Structural Health and Usage Monitoring Strategies for Key Technologies (SRP46)

This SRP project aims to initiate and manage ground-breaking research in the field of Structural Health and Usage Monitoring.
The initial SRP OPTIMech was focused on Operational Modal Analysis (OMA) and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of Offshore Wind Turbines (OWT). This research track was very successful with respect to scientific output, visibility, external funding and valorisation (IOF BruWind). This renewed SRP project will include two additional research tracks where SHM will be playing a vital role in the near future:
•Industry 4.0 (Factories of the Future, Internet-of-Things), and
•Additive Manufacturing (of metallic components)
