Time-resolving modelling of wave propagation in a very shallow foreshore characterised by a chain of small islands

The idea of creating artificial island chains in front of coasts is lately introduced as a durable and ecological protection measure. A crucial numerical methodology to accurately predict the interaction between the island chain and nearshore hydrodynamics in order to achieve a safe and cost-effective coastal defense system is missing, and is therefore the main focus of this project proposal.
