`Between folk song and classical song': the song in the pre-Benoit period (ca. 1830-ca. 1860), a textually analytical, literary-historical and musical-historical analysis of the collection of songs: library of the Royal Flemish Conservatory of Music.

The aim of the project is to unlock and valorise the Flemish classical songs of the pre-Benoit period. (ca. 1830 ¿ ca. 1860) from the library of the Royal Flemish Conservatory of Music.The songs are studied by a multidisciplinary team, from literary history, music history and implementation practice. This diverse approach makes it possible for the genre to be situated in a wide cultural-historical context, in which the basic research of Dutch literary history is combined with the research in the area of music history, music analysis and the implementation practice.
