SHIPS platform: Softcore Hardware Intellectual Property coreS platform.

This proposal aims at developing the fundamentals for the systematic validation and the efficient and secure trade of Softcore Hardware IP coreS (SHIPS). SHIPS are building blocks to be integrated in digital electronic chips. The trade in SHIPS plays an important role in companies make- or- buy decisions. This type of decisions is one managers have ton grapple at high frequency and should result in a more efficient production process regarding time-to-market and investment costs. There are many remaining research challenges in both the technical and the legal domain. This project focuses on the development of an add- on to the existing advertising platforms in the form of three features: (1) systematic quality validation, (2) core tailoring, (3) license enforcement.
