Lymfoedema

Lymphoedema is one of the most invalidating complications following breast stimulation with axillary lymph node resection (performed to prevent metastases) and occurs in 22 to 34% of cases. A joint study day was discussed extensively in the press. Within this interfaculty research group, joint research will be continued to: 1) screen the patients with edema to detect unknown provocative factors; 2) evaluate the edema; 3) investigate the preventive role of adapted and specialized physiotherapy.
