The ongoing research is concentrated in the fields of: 1. Interdisciplinary instruments for environmental management including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) (e.g. evaluation of EIA procedures and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), development of EIA guidelines and recommendations for good practice, strategic environmental assessment (SEA), SEA and sustainable urban development); 2. Environmental Health (mainly related to practical issues in Flanders and in Belgium); 3. Human Ecology; 4. Sustainable Development.
