2008-2012 Agreement on the organization of the Flemish Olympiads Mathematics, Natural Sciences, the Flemish-Geo Olympiad, OLYFRAN Flanders and the Flemish Olympiades Latin and Greek in the framework of the Actionplan Science Communication. (R-1448)

This concerns an agreement between on the one side ─de Vlaamse Gemeenschap┌ and ─het Vlaams Gewest┌ and on the other the organizers of the different Olympiads. The following objectives were stated in this agreement. The general objective of the competition is to increase the interest of young people for a particular discipline and thus to bring together talented young people and on the other hand the selection procedure for the corresponding international scientific olympiades. The organizers annually need to fulfil a number of performance indicators in order to obtain an operating grant. 1. organizing annual competitions - Flemish Math Olympiad - Flemish Olympiad for science (biology, physics and chemistry) - Flemish Geo-Olympiad - Olyfran - Cicero- and vergilius translationcompetitions (Latin) - Pythia- and Sophokles translationcompetitions (Greek) 2. organizing annual proclamation 3. making a selection of candidates for the corresponding international scientific olympiades. 4. development and managment of a website
