Landuse, economic expansion and NIMBY.

When enterprises want to expand their activities or to develop new ones they often encounter opposition of the local communities. This research will draw up a brief overview of the rules and processes with respect to land use and economic expansion in Flanders. Besides, the different stakeholders as well as their motives of behviour and action will be mapped. On this basis opportunities and trade-offs will be identified for future dialogue between those in favour of economic expansion and those opposing it.
