Research on local wellbeing among residents with disabilities

The overall goal of this project is to achieve greater local wellbeing (feeling at home) among residents with disabilities through (better) inclusive policies at the local level. To achieve this, the
local policy-makers who start working on this theme need to be supported as much as possible.
- First, the study gives insight into what is happening at the local level:
o In what different ways are local policymakers dealing with the theme of inclusion and
specifically this target group?

o In what different ways are residents with disabilities in Flanders currently already involved in local policy?
- Based on the foregoing, this research wants to come to a sustainable and efficient instrument with
appropriate methodology to better include the needs of inhabitants with a disability in local policy and policy makers.into local policy and to support policymakers in this as well as possible. The
