Design of an Arduino based low-cost error generator for PROFIBUS DP KU Leuven Universiteit Gent
This paper discusses the design of a low-cost, versatile and configurable error generator for PROFIBUS DP. Using a PROFICORE ULTRA oscilloscope trigger pulse, a small circuit designed around an Arduino MEGA 2560 disrupts messages on the industrial network, without adding an extra slave.
DATA LOGGING A WATER ROCKET WITH ARDUINO Universiteit Hasselt
Water rockets can achieve great acceleration and height. The takeoff of these rockets, i.e. the period during which the rocket is accelerated upwards, typically lasts 200 ms. To accurately visualize e.g. the acceleration during takeoff, a measuring frequency of 1000 Hz is desired. In this project, we show that this is possible using a fairly simple, student friendly micro-controller, namely the Arduino nano 3.0.

Out-of-Things Debugging: A Live Debugging Approach for Internet of Things Vrije Universiteit Brussel
Internet of Things (IoT) has become an important kind of distributed systems thanks to the wide-spread of cheap embedded devices equipped with different networking technologies. Although ubiquitous, developing IoT systems remains challenging.

A smart voltage and current monitoring system for three phase inverters using an android smartphone application Universiteit Gent
In this paper, a new smart voltage and current monitoring system (SVCMS) technique is proposed. It monitors a three phase electrical system using an Arduino platform as a microcontroller to read the voltage and current from sensors and then wirelessly send the measured data to monitor the results using a new Android application. The integrated SVCMS design uses an Arduino Nano V3.0 as the microcontroller to measure the results from three voltage ...
The Development of the Trumpet Orpheus Instituut
The !trumpet is software synthesis system controlled from, and playing back through, a trumpet. It is not an electronically extended trumpet: the player produces no acoustic sounds by blowing through the mouthpiece. Instead, breath pressure and valve movement on the brass instrument are read by an embedded Arduino microcontroller and sent to a laptop, where the data is mapped onto various parameters in synthesis software; the resulting ...
An open-source non-contact thermometer using low-cost electronic components Universiteit Gent
Due to the spread of COVID-19 across the world and the increased need for non-contact thermometers to prevent the spread of disease, a new electronic thermometer has been designed and implemented for measuring human body temperature from a distance. This device is currently in use at building entrances to measure the body temperatures of employees, students, and customers. This system is designed using low-cost easy-toassemble open-source ...
A smart distance power electronic measurement using smartphone applications Universiteit Gent
The objectives of this article were to design a low-cost three-phase AC voltage measurement circuit and new Android smartphone application to monitor the measuring voltage from a safe distance. The smart distance power electronic measurement (SDPEM) system was designed based on an Arduino UNO R3 board used as a microcontroller to read and calculate the RMS values from a three-phase AC voltage measurement circuit (line-to-line or phase voltage of ...
