Kris Pauwels

    • Kris Pauwels received his PhD in Bio-engineering Science from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in May 2008. Currently he is a FWO Pegasus long-term postdoctoral fellow in the Structural Biology Research Centre of the VUB and the VIB Department of Structural Biology under supervision of Peter Tompa. After obtaining his PhD, he joined the research group of Annalisa Pastore at the Molecular Structure Division of the MRC National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) in London (UK) as an EMBO long-term postdoctoral fellow. Before he returned to Brussels, he was a visiting researcher at the Chemistry Department of the Universitat de les Illes Ballears in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) supported by an EMBO short term fellowship under the supervision of Miquel Adrover, Josefa Donoso and Francisco Munoz. His research as FWO PostDoc at VUB focused on intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) with an emphasis on biophysics, structural biology and interaction analysis and their involvement in human disease. http://www.frontiersin.org/people/KrisPauwels/139225/profile
