Oxidized lysozyme
The present invention generally relates to an oxidized lysozyme, more specifically oxidized at two amino acids, tyrosine and tryptophan. In another aspect, the present invention provides the use of oxidized lysozyme in the treatment of cancer or infectious diseases, or as an antibacterial or disinfecting agent. The present invention further relates to processes for preparing such lysozymes, such as by using a dielectric barrier discharge device.
