Quasi-Hopf algebras of Cartan type and small quasi-quantum groups

In this paper, we construct a class of finite-dimensional quasi-Hopf algebras from liftings of pointed Hopf algebras. These quasi-Hopf algebras are presented by generators and relations. Several proper classes of these quasi-Hopf algebras are proved genuine, i.e. not twist equivalent to Hopf algebras. As special cases, we introduce the small quasi-quantum groups which show to be the natural generalizations of the small quantum groups.
