Optical solutions for improving spatial resolution of hyperspectral sensors

Boekbijdrage - Boekabstract Conferentiebijdrage

Hyperspectral sensors usually have higher spectral and lower spatial resolution than multispectral and panchromatic sensors. Therefore, it is very important to present designs which can increase the spatial resolution and improve the image quality. In this regard, two new proposals are presented for the manipulation of hyperspectral imaging structures. In order to investigate these techniques, the optical systems of two important sensors, Spatially-Enhanced Array Spectrograph System (SEBASS) and Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3), are analyzed.
