Goodness without Witnesses. Vasily Grossman and Emmanuel Levinas

Boekbijdrage - Hoofdstuk

The little goodness is the crux in comparing Levinas and Grossman. This tender form of humanity has a different place in the topicality of the socio-political texts of our two authors. On a deeper level, one can discover a unconscious congeniality. The little goodness is the revelation of the mystery of the human soul. This soul is the feminine secret of Sofya Osipovna and of the created woman. The ultimate difference that constitutes their congeniality is the unknown God of the sacred text. Levinas thinks starting from the verses; the well-written pages of Grossman don't contain any verse.
