Maximalisatie van het anti-tumoraal potentieel van next-generation dendritische celvaccins door combinatie van interleukine-15 en in situ neutralisatie van geprogrammeerde celdoodliganden.

The GENERAL OBJECTIVE of this doctoral thesis is to develop a clinical grade highly immunogenic antigen-specific anticancer vaccine. Aiming to unleash the full force of both adaptive and innate anti-tumor immunity by DC vaccination, we hypothesize that suppression of the inhibitory immune checkpoint molecules programmed death ligand (PD-L)1 and PD-L2 integrated into our immunogenic IL-15 DCs will generate a superior cancer vaccine with unprecedented immunostimulatory potential.
