Citizen Journalism - Scenarios for the future

'Citizen Journalism- Scenarios for the future' gathers a selection of texts produced by participants in the discus- sion on Citzen Journalism that took place in 2008 in Ghent. Before setting the frame of the discussion the scientific committee working on the blogboat event looked for a useful definition of Citizen Journalism. It has been decided to use the definition currently proposed by Jay Rosen: “When the people formerly known as the audience employ the press tools they have in their possession to inform one another, that’s citizen journalism.” (Pressthink, www.journalism.nyu.edu/)
