Boekbijdrage - Hoofdstuk

Ondertitel:Novel Assessments and their Pre-, Post- and Pure Effects on Student Learning
Assessment is considered as an important tool to make education work. The balance between Assessment for Learning and Assessment of Learning has been dominating the assessment debate. A few pivotal review studies have evidenced the effects of using assessment as a tool for learning on student achievement. Nevertheless, many questions still remain unanswered. Given the utmost relevance of implementing assessment for learning, this chapter focuses on the pre-, post- and pure assessment effects on learning. Moreover, it presents an overview of quality indicators argued to be valid in the context of assessment for learning practices.
