Use of an automated calf cough sound detection algorithm for the early detection of bovine respiratory disease

Early recognition of bovine respiratory disease (BRD), allows earlier treatment intervention. Initial results show that periods with increased coughing can be detected by a cough sound detection system and these correspond with BRD incidences.
