Caracterización y evaluación hidrogeomorfológica para la restauración fluvial urbana en la cuenca del Andalién (Región Biobío, Chile)

In order to obtain a valorisation of the Andalien River watershed, the results and processes of the geomorphological action have been characterized and assessed. Thus, a whole vision has been built to conceive a proper planning and management. Anthropic action (urbanization, agriculture, forestry activities and sediment extractions)within the watershed, which has caused a geomorphological disorder in the adjacent areas to the river and its tributaries, is also analysed. The hydro-geomorphological protocol applied reveals alterations related to urban spaces for which will be planned some river restoration alternatives. To sum up, it has been validated the usefulness of the protocol and it has been established the complex interactions and possibilities of urban-river territorial integration.
