The political economy of Europe: a game-theoretical analysis of the economic policy of the European Union KU Leuven
In my research, I would like to investigate the economic policy of the European Union. More specifically, I will be using game-theoretical models to analyze whether or not the economic policies imposed by the European Union can be seen as an example of democratic decision-making. The goal of my research is not only to analyze these policies in a descriptive way but also to formulate possible solutions for potential problems.

The mamlukisation of the Mamluk Sultanate. Political Traditions and State Formation in the 15 Century Egypt and Syria Ghent University
The project focuses on the political traditions that, in the interplay between individuals, institutions and social interactions, dominated the Syro-Egyptian Mamluk sultanate in the 15th century (1412-1517). It aims to validate the hypothesis that a thorough transformation took place, as new traditions emerged, constructed around military slavery (U+2018mamlukizationU+2019) and tantamount to a process of early modern state formation.

The project analyzes the position of religion, Christian and pagan, in Italian fascism, more specifically in the so-called 'romanità ' or 'Romanness'. This myth was one of the cornerstones of fascism. The analysis of the position of religion is situated in the idea of fascism as a form of modern, political religion.
