My research mainly focuses on the development of hybrid self-assembled materials based on cellulose nanocrystals and inorganic nanoparticles.The thermodynamic driving forces and kinetic limitations of nanoparticle self-assembly to be able to create nanostructured materials in bulk and on surfaces with full control over the desired deposition pattern for applications in sensors, catalysts, and supercapacitors will be investigated.
