Infrastructure
CN-analyser (CN-analyser) Ghent University
The Primacs SNC-100 carbon/nitrogen analyzer is a flexible solid sample analyzer with integrated autosampler with 100 positions for the determination of nitrogen (N) / protein, total carbon (TC), total elemental carbon (TEC), total inorganic carbon (TIC). ) and Total Organic Carbon (TOC). The analyzers provide fast, accurate, low-level analysis for these parameters in applications such as soil and plants, sludge and sediments, animal feed and grain, food, malt, fertilizer etc.
The Social Study (TSS) Ghent University
The Social Study is an online data collection infrastructure developed by all Belgian universities. It was designed to promote longitudinal and interdisciplinary survey research in the social and behavioral sciences. The panel consists of approximately 4,000 individuals aged 16 and older living in private households in Belgium. Following similar online probability panels in the Netherlands, Germany and France, TSS offers the research community new opportunities for high-quality survey research in Belgium.
Panel members are recruited based on a two-stage random sample selected ...
PHENOVION phenotyping system (PHENOVISION) Ghent University
PHENOVISION is a greenhouse infrastructure for automated, high-throughput phenotyping of crops with a capacity of 392 plants. Pots are transported in carriers on a conveyor belt system. Both pots and carriers have unique identifiers which makes it possible to treat each plant individually in transit from its position in the stationary growth area of the system to the weighing and irrigation stations and the imaging cabins. Currently, the system includes three weighing and irrigation stations with rotating platforms and the possibility to apply water and up to three different solutions. ...
Flanders BioImaging: Leading Imaging Application Integrated Service and Enablement (FBI-LIAISE) (FLANDERSBIOI) KU Leuven
Flanders Bioimaging (FBI) is an inter-university consortium of advanced light microscopy and biomedical imaging core facilities conceived to integrate, optimize and coordinate the state-ofthe-art imaging infrastructure and expertise in Flanders. Its primary aim is to provide European research access to cutting-edge spearpoint imaging applications at each site via membership of EuroBioImaging, a landmark European Research Infrastructure Consortium. Relying on a track record of scientific collaboration and public-private partnerships, FBI will provide end-to-end solutions, supporting ...
HAXPES: a user platform providing analytical insights of surfaces and interfaces (HAXPES) Hasselt University
HArd X-ray PhotoElectron Spectroscopy (HAXPES) is a rapidly evolving analytical method providing much needed insight into material interactions at surfaces and burried layers and interfaces.
A consortium composed of Flemish academic and industrial partners create an easily accessible HAXPES user platform to boost applied research in areas like batteries, photovoltaics, catalysis, corrosion prevention and semiconductor ...
