The changes in motor control of the back muscles is studied by means of functional MRI and the influence of pain intensity and processes of anticipation on the dysfunction of the m. multifidus will be investigated. At least, to give direction to the best therapeutic approach, the influence on muscle dysfunction of manipulating the attitudes concerning pain will be studied.
