A medical device (100) for treatment or prevention of the subacromial pain syndrome of a living object is described. The medical device (100) comprises a means for exerting pressure (110) on a scapula and/or clavicle/acromion for rotating the scapula and/or clavicle/acromion in a posteriorly tilted position, and a means for providing a counter force (130) so the scapula and/or clavicle/acromion can be maintained in the posteriorly tilted position.
