In this project the target cells of feline coronaviruses in intestinal mucosa will be identified and the replication in these cells will be studied in an intestinal mucosa explant model. Further, the entry of these viruses in the identified target cells will be analyzed and there will be searched for an explanation for the observed differences between FIPV and FECV.
