Industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) in a phytoattenuation strategy: remediation potential of a Cd, Pb, and Zn contaminated soil and valorization potential of the fibers for textile production. Ghent University
The potential of a phytoattenuation strategy with industrial hemp is evaluated, combining the valorization of contaminated land through hemp cultivation and the development of a biobased value chain for the textile industry. This research aims to analyze metal uptake in the above-ground biomass and evaluates the potential to produce safe and qualitative hemp fibers for textile production.
