Electrochemically generated sulphate radicals as an advanced oxidation technique for the removal of pharmaceutical pollutants from industrial wastewater (SO4ELECTRIC) KU Leuven
Development of techniques for the removal of selenium from industrial wastewater (SuPER-W) Ghent University
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action “Sustainable Product, Energy and Resource Recovery from Wastewater” (SuPER-W) is a European joint doctorate (EJD) programme that will support the long-term human resource management plan of European water innovators by training 15 PhD students in developing technologies for water, energy, nutrient and metal reuse, and bioproduction from (waste)water. Therefore, it brings together leading researchers from 5 ...
Operational CFD Model for impact analysis on spatial interventions to improve urban ventilation. University of Antwerp
Application of low cost sorption technologies for (ground)water purification in the Main Ethiopian Rift Valley Ghent University
In this project, the suitability of raw and modified chitosan, scoria and pumice for the purification of Ethiopian groundwater, polluted with F, As, U, Mo and B, is investigated. This is done using batch and column adsorption setups, considering design parameters, such as contact time, flow rate and adsorbent dose, and initial pollutant concentration, pH, and competing ions.
