Unravelling Textile Reinforced Cementitious composites by means of multi-modal sensing techniques Vrije Universiteit Brussel
RNAI collection and associated facilities Ghent University
The aim of this project is to set up a RNAI collection service facility that offers all researchers of Ghent University and VIB easy access to individual shRNA plasmids of the genome-wide SIGMA MISSION TRC1 and TRC1. 5 human and mouse shRNA libraries. The service will be integrated in hte BCCM/LMBP plasmid collection facilities.
Strenghtening of concrete structures with externally bonded cementmatrix composites Vrije Universiteit Brussel
Synergy of advanced structural health monitoring techniques for quality assurance of innovative cementitious composites Vrije Universiteit Brussel
infancy and a complete understanding of their response to damage is not yet available. Although theoretical formulations imply that their macroscopic fracture process starts with matrix cracking, in practice interfacial debonding, delaminations and ...
Textile Reinforced Cementitious Composites for a High-performance, Fire-Resistant Sustainable Building System. KU Leuven
The overall goal is to develop textile reinforcing cement matrix composites (Textile Reinforced Cementitious Composites (TRC)) and structures in this material that are high-performance, cost-effective and ecological.
Characterization and engineering of a polysaccharide mono-oxygenase involved in the degradation of (ligno) cellulosic biomass Ghent University
Lignocellulosic biomass is believed to be the most promising renewable feedstock for sustainable production of biofuels and commodity chemicals in biorefineries. While the need for sustainable systems is continuously increasing, the depolymerization of lignocellulose is impeded by its high recalcitrance. This makes the development of a cost-effective process extremely challenging. In enzymatic degradation, the classical view of synergistic ...
