To increase the research and teaching capacity of the Ghent University SSH Faculties a Special Research Fund pre-allocation of 15 additional tenure track positions – three for each Faculty – was provided in 2011.

NETGROW is a collabrative project in the European 7th Framework Programme. The project consists of two main approaches to investigate how innovation in SMEs can be increased through enhanced network learning: 1) the focal company approach: investigating the attitudes and preferences of food SMEs towards networking and 2) the network approach: exploring how the functioning of networks effects innovation.

For every visitor to Cuba, the presence of a thriving black market is clear. For some, this is the proof that socialism fails and should make room for a more dynamic capitalism. For others, the black market is detrimental to the socialist project and should be eradicated.
