5.6 µm charge domain global shutter pixel with 90dB shutter efficiency KU Leuven
In-pixel charge transfer to a storage gate has become the standard architecture for global shutter CMOS image sensors. This paper presents a pixel structure with three closely spaced buried channel gates, a light waveguide, and a tungsten light shield with sidewall, reaching a shutter efficiency of 32 600:1 (90 dB) and full well charge of > 20 000 e- on 5.6 µm pitch.
The effect of size, charge state and composition on the binding of propene to yttrium-doped gold clusters KU Leuven
The catalytic activity of metal clusters can be easily tuned by their size, charge state, or the introduction of dopant atoms. Here, the dopant-, charge- and size-dependent propene adsorption on gold (Aun+) and yttrium doped gold (Aun 1Y+) clusters (n = 4–20) was investigated using combined gas-phase reaction studies and density functional theory computations. The increased charge transfer between the cluster and propene in the cationic clusters ...
Inverse kinetic isotope effects in the charge transfer reactions of ammonia with rare gas ions KU Leuven
In the absence of experimental data, models of complex chemical environments rely on predicted reaction properties. Astrochemistry models, for example, typically adopt variants of capture theory to estimate the reactivity of ionic species present in interstellar environments. In this work, we examine astrochemically-relevant charge transfer reactions between two isotopologues of ammonia, NH3 and ND3, and two rare gas ions, Kr+ and Ar+. An ...
Monodromy methods for torus conformal blocks and entanglement entropy at large central charge Vrije Universiteit Brussel
We compute the entanglement entropy in a two dimensional conformal field theory at finite size and finite temperature in the large central charge limit via the replica trick. We first generalize the known monodromy method for the calculation of conformal blocks on the plane to the torus. Then, we derive a monodromy method for the zero-point conformal blocks of the replica partition function. We explain the differences between the two monodromy ...
An in silico Framework of Cartilage Degeneration That Integrates Fibril Reorientation and Degradation Along With Altered Hydration and Fixed Charge Density Loss KU Leuven
Injurious mechanical loading of articular cartilage and associated lesions compromise the mechanical and structural integrity of joints and contribute to the onset and progression of cartilage degeneration leading to osteoarthritis (OA). Despite extensive in vitro and in vivo research, it remains unclear how the changes in cartilage composition and structure that occur during cartilage degeneration after injury, interact. Recently, in silico ...
Novel noncontact charge density map in the setting of post-atrial fibrillation atrial tachycardias Vrije Universiteit Brussel
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety and feasibility of the new high-resolution mapping algorithm SuperMap (Acutus Medical, CA, USA) in identifying and guiding ablation in the setting of regular atrial tachycardias following index atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation.
METHODS: Seven consecutive patients who underwent a radiofrequency catheter ablation guided by the novel noncontact charge density (CD) SuperMap ...
