HIV Illness Identity, Household HIV Competence and Antiretroviral Treatment Adherence, an analysis of associations among a treatment-naïve adult population living with HIV in the Western Cape, South Africa. University of Antwerp
Development of an integrated population balance/hydrodynamic model to optimize the water-sludge separation process in wastewater treatment Ghent University
This study deals with membrane bioreactors (MBR), combining biological treatment with membrane separation technology. An integral model will be developed describing the MBR processes, i.e. biological processes, filtration processes and changes in particle size of the activated sludge. For the latter a mechanistic submodel will be developed describing the changes in particle size distribution by using population balance models.
Acquired immunity and immunologic aspects of SARS-CoV-2 infection a population of patients and healthcare workers in Multidisciplinary Oncologic Centres. (MOCOR-Study). University of Antwerp
Real-time localization system for population studies of small birds. University of Antwerp
StressTRACS: Stress Tracking in Real life with multimodal Algorithms using data from Commercial wearables in a Student and Staff population KU Leuven
Structure, Groxth and population dynamics of Zfzelia sm. Increasing the potential of economically valuable tree species of a central african rainforest, dr congo Ghent University
The proposed research focuses on four important tropical african forests tree species in te central congo basin, Afzelia africana, A. bella, A. bipendensis and A. pachyloba. In this study, the main objective is to loo for and demonstrate the annual nature of 3 rings in the 4 target 3 species and the links with environmental and climate signals.

For better health in university and college students: pin-pointing the interplay between social support, study stress, substance use and mental health across different study programs. University of Antwerp
Risk and Protective Factors of Dyslexia: A study of auditory temporal processing and morphological awareness KU Leuven
Dyslexia is a neurological condition affecting 5-7% of the population, which impacts an individual’s ability learning to read and write despite adequate intelligence, education and remediation. The predominant etiological view postulates that dyslexia results from a deficit in the phonological domain, specifically in the quality and accuracy of phonological representations. A vital component in the development of phonological representations ...
