Electrochemical characterization of plasma coatings on printed circuit boards Vrije Universiteit Brussel
Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) are the backbone of electronic devices and communication technology. The corrosion of copper tracks in PCBs is the main reliability issue in case of exposure to humidity. To overcome this, several surface finishing methods have been introduced in the industry such as plasma coatings. In this study, several electrochemical characterisation methods are explored on blank and plasma-coated PCBs to identify reliable ...

Comparison of the physicochemical properties and aging behavior of two different APTES-derived plasma polymer-based coatings Ghent University
Chemical and physical effect of SiO2 and TiO2 nanoparticles on highly hydrophobic fluorocarbon hybrid coatings synthesized by atmospheric plasma Vrije Universiteit Brussel
The impact of the presence of TiO 2 and SiO 2 nanoparticles on the properties of fluorocarbon films synthesized by atmospheric pressure plasma in argon and helium is investigated in this study. The hydrophobicity, chemical composition and roughness of the films are analyzed by Water Contact Angle (WCA), X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and profilometry. As expected, a significant impact of the ...
