Bio-photovoltaic Phytoremediation: electricity generation and environmental cleanup with living plants Hasselt University
Endophyte-enhanced plant growth and phytoremediation: stability of the inoculated strain as the crucial step towards in situ application. Hasselt University
Remediation of PFAS contaminated soil by a novel combined approach: phytoremediation with hemp followed by biodegradation through Solid State Fermentation of contaminated hemp residues by white rot fungi. Hasselt University
Technical and environmental performance assessment of combined industrial cropping with phytoremediation on contaminated land. Ghent University
The PhD is integrated in the Interreg project New-C-Land (2018-2022), and focus on two objectives of New-C-Land:
- The development of a DST to help at the choice of plant to cultivate on marginal site.
- The development of transborder biomass valorization chain with biomass obtained on marginal site between the Hauts-de-France, the Wallonia and the Flanders.
Monitoring phytoremediation - Resanat Hasselt University
A global approach for recovery of arable land through improved phytoremediation coupled with advanced liquid biofuel production and climate friendly copper smelting process Hasselt University
Effects of amendments and plant rhizosphere processes on the migration and transformation of heavy metals in soil in frame of phytoremediation Ghent University
Through different experiments, contaminated soil will be fractionated into aggregates of different particle size to explore the influence of amendments and rhizosphere processes on the migration and transformation of trace elements, and to reveal the activation/immobilization mechanisms of trace elements under the participation of plants, so as to provide theoretical scientific basis for the stability of trace elements under ...
