This project comprises the identification of the active metabolites of selected natural products with a proven biological activity. The focus will be on Cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) which is used against urinary tract infections, and the Congolese medicinal plant Nauclea pobeguinii, which showed promising activity against malaria in vitro as well as in vivo.
