The metastic niche: preparation, function and translational evidence of a permissieve micro environment for cancer dissemination Ghent University
Establishment of cancer metastases is “successful” only if premetastatic niches are prepared in certain organs. Exosomes derived from cancer cells, are presumed to contribute to this process. In this project the biogenesis of exosomes is studied, and transgenic animals will be applied. Last but not least, exosome markers will be traced in organs (lymph nodes, bone marrow, lung) from cancer patients, as predictive markers.

Moral Realism as a Normative Doctrine: Rethinking Politicized Realism. University of Antwerp
Wittgenstein, Intuitionism, and the Foundations of Our Moral Reasoning KU Leuven
Moral disagreements are prevalent and do not appear to be easily reconcilable. This fact has led some philosophers to endorse metaethical moral relativism, the view that moral truths are relative to a group. However, it is widely acknowledged that moral relativism is problematic.
My aim is to propose a metaethical framework that takes moral disagreement seriously but does not run into relativism’s major problems. In order to achieve ...
A Theopolitical Ethics of Space. A Meta-Ethical Exploration of Social-Structural Sin with Antonio Negri in Labor Migration Context KU Leuven
This interdisciplinary research formulates a theopolitical ethics of space as a method to go beyond the inadequacies of the Cartesian subject-object divide that has been hounding the contemporary human sciences. This issue is manifested 1) in migration studies through the United Nations’s rigid classification of ‘voluntary’ migration and ‘forced’ migration, 2) in sociopolitical philosophy through the ‘agency’ and ‘structure’ debate between ...
