Using Generated Data to Train Computer Vision Models. Hasselt University
AdvanCed Hardware/Software Components for Integrated/Embedded Vision SystEms (ACHIEVE) Ghent University
ACHIEVE aims at training a new generation of young researchers through a research programme on highly integrated hardware-software co-design for the implementation of ultra-efficient embedded vision systems as the basis for innovative distributed vision applications. The consortium is composed of 6 academic and 1 industrial beneficiaries and 4 industrial partners enthusiastic and competent to provide high quality training for 9 ESRs.
System for automated lameness detection based on 3D vision technology. KU Leuven
Animal health and welfare management are of growing interest in societal discussions. Health and welfare are also closely related to the animal’s production performance and have therefore a high impact on farm profitability and sustainability. In dairy farming lameness is a severe health problem occurring very often and persistent. Reported lameness prevalence rates range from 20% to 37% in Europe and USA. The proposed project aims at ...
'Vision Core Leuven': a service platform for compound screening and disease modelling KU Leuven
A consortium of KU Leuven researchers working in the ophthalmology/neurobiology field, has recently launched the ‘Vision Core Leuven’ (VCL), a multidisciplinary service platform that combines complementary, novel state-of-the-art technologies and the consortium’s well-known expertise in ocular disease and visual impairment modeling. The platform will enable industrial and academic partners to evaluate the impact of a certain intervention ...
Framework: updating matrix vision of the city monitor Ghent University
The client wants to re-engage experts and academics in order to evaluate the matrix view and update their expertise. Specifically, the client wants to award the contract to a maximum of 12 different experts, who together go through a process. The steps to go through this process will be done using the Delphi method. This method is to be essentially composed of phases of written assessment of a particular subject, followed by exchanging the ...

Exploiting scene constraints to improve object detection algorithms for industrial applications KU Leuven
State-of-the-art object detection algorithms are designed to be heavily robust against scene and object variations like illumination changes, occlusions, scale changes, orientation differences, background clutter and object intra-class variability. However, in industrial machine vision applications, where objects with variable appearance have to be detected, many of these variations are in fact constant and can be seen as scene specific ...
