Learning the design language of CAR structural components using a high-throughput screening method. University of Antwerp
Development of a high-throughput screening platform to optimize enzyme production for ideal malting in view of improving process efficiency and beer flavour quality KU Leuven
A kinetic, high-throughput cellular screening system (Plate Imaging Reader) for the "real time" monitoring of dynamic intracellular Ca2+ signals in living cells KU Leuven
Ionized calcium (Ca2+) is the most versatile cellular messenger used by cells. Virtually all cells in the human body employ Ca2+ signals, i.e. rapid changes in intracellular Ca2+ concentration, to control cell physiological functions in response to extrinsic and intrinsic stimuli. Perturbations in Ca2+ homeostasis & dynamics vitiate physiological processes, acting as early drivers of disease progression and pathological outcomes. Hence, ...
An high-throughput automated small molecule screening platform. KU Leuven
The past decade, in the field of small molecules (metabolites and lipids), an increase in the amount of samples per project is observed. This is a consequence of the worldwide efforts of clinicians and academics to store and annotate a wide diversity of bio-specimens from an equal diversity of diseases. Despite of this "goldmine" of samples, the current technologies cannot really cope with the large amount of samples. This is due to several ...
High-throughput powder X-Ray Diffractometer for fast sample screening Ghent University
A consortium of WE06 (Chemistry) and WE04 (Solid State Sciences) asks for a high-throughput powder XRD setup. The number of samples to be analyzed has increased with a factor 10 in the last decade, far beyond the current capacity for two older machines (without sample changer), that are also already “out of service”. One high-throughput machine with automatic sample changer increases the capacity enormously.
A high-throughput platform for screening amyloid strains and their seeding capacity at single-particle resolution KU Leuven
The development of recent methods, such as cryo-electron microscopy, has had a great impact on our understanding of amyloid aggregates. Despite this recent influx of structural information, however, we still do not fully understand how differential intrinsic properties of amyloid strains/conformers, such as their morphology, co-aggregation potential and transmissibility barriers relate to selective cellular/tissue toxicity and aggregation ...

Integrating plant biotechnology and industrial biotechnology to synthesise and study the role of plant metabolites spurred by a flexible high-throughput molecular and on-line dynamic screening platform Ghent University
The increasing complexity of the biotechnological optimization questions studied in the field of plant biotechnology and industrial biotechnology, requires the cloning and detailed characterization of continuously more extensive protein, DNA part (e.g., promoters, terminators) and cell libraries. To meet these requirements a flexible, fully automated high-throughput molecular and on-line dynamic screening platform is mandatory.
