This project studies if and how the EU's primary legal framework and its external policies (in particular the European Neigbourhood Policy) encourage the Europeanization of legal systems and judiciaries in the Eastern neighbourhood of the EU. It analyses the results of legal approximation and regulatory convergence in relations between the EU and Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia.
