ESFR and DUBBLE: Synchrotron X-rays for revealing the structure and function of molecules and materials Big Science Ghent University
Development of Correlative atmospheric scanning electron and fluorescence super-resolution microscopy to investigate the regulation of EGF signaling KU Leuven
In this project, a unique CLEM modality is explored. Atmosphere scanning electron microscopy (ASEM), a novel electron microscopic technique, in which a sample is observed under atmorspheric conditions, will be combined with PALM or dSTORM.
Positive obligations under the ECHR U+2013 beyond the case by case approach Ghent University
Positive obligation are obligations under human rights convention on states to actively take steps to protect and fulfill human rights. My research concerns the legal reasoning of the European Court of Human Rights with respect to the justification of the existence of positive obligations and the determination of their scope.

Resistance to EGFR-targeted therapy in colorectal cancer: biological significance of stromal-derived neuregulin-1 Ghent University
Anti-EGFR therapy (cetuximab or panitumumab) is a targeted therapy in metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC). The mutation state of K-RAS, a downstream intermediate of HER signalling, is used to predict therapy resistance. Unfortunately only half of the currently treated wild type tumors respond, indicating additional upfront primary resistance mechanisms. Furthermore, initially responding tumors may acquire secondary resistance. Our group ...
