Can changes in climate and in flame retardant exposure over time alter the levels of the stress hormone corticosterone in white-tailed eagles (Haliaeetus albicilla)? University of Antwerp
EAGLES: East African Great Lake Ecosystem Sensitivity to changes Ghent University
EAGLES is aimed at understanding, monitoring and forecasting how the ecosystem of Lake Kivu responds to human-induced changes in order to predict the effects of ongoing and planned exploitation of its resources under different scenarios of climate change. We will combine data mining, remote sensing, moorings, field and laboratory experiments, numerical modeling and proxies in lake sediment cores.

RevalExo: a wearable lower-limb exoskeleton that assists activities of daily living and enables data-driven remote rehabilitation KU Leuven
The objective of this project is to research basic strategic concepts for 1) a wearable lower-limb exoskeleton for gait-impaired or elderly persons, which can be worn comfortably throughout an entire day and used independently by the patient in a home setting, and 2) a rehabilitation assessment tool for remote follow-up by healthcare staff, based on information from multi-modal sensors integrated in the exoskeleton.
RevalExo: a wearable lower-limb exoskeleton that assists activities of daily living and enables data-driven remote rehabilitation KU Leuven
Human and Non-human Interaction in Oral Narratives: Ecocritical analyses of Oromo Fables Ghent University
This project approaches Oromo oral fables from Ethiopia from different ecocritical perspectives. In particular, we aim to critically question the notions of anthropomorphism and limitrophes through analyses of the interaction between human and non-human characters. Fables offer a unique opportunity to do so, and the study can be an important contribution to debates on Oromo oral literature, ecocritical analysis and zoopoetics.

Clean technology (cleantech) is important for its ability to address the growing challenges of global warming, pollution, and depletion of natural resources. The study of financing cleantech is also important to ensure the development, growth and survival of these firms. In this doctoral program, we intend to better understand the financing of cleantech firms in Europe by first covering the literature review on the field including the ...
